Enjoy Outdoor Cinema in Sydney

Invite a date, your friends, or your family for an outdoor movie experience in Sydney! This Autumn brings a number of outdoor movie showings to catch in and around the capital city. Don’t forget to bring a rug and blanket!

American Express Openair Cinemas (until 4th of March)
American Express Openair Cinemas comes to Sydney’s Bondi Beach with a number of fan favourites and new blockbusters to be enjoyed by the waterfront! Showings to catch up until March 4 include Downsizing, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Pitch Perfect 3, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Wonder, Crazy Stupid Love, Coco, Darkest Hour, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Molly’s Game, and more. Choose from a variety of seating options along with hireable blankets and loungers for ultimate comfort! There will be an onsite bar as well as authentic Italian cuisine from Salt Meats Cheese.

Sunset Cinema (until 24th of March)
North Sydney Oval welcomes back Sunset Cinema for more cult classics and newly-released blockbusters for the perfect date night or some relaxed fun with the family. February showings include Paddington 2, Downsizing, Coco, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, All the Money in the World, Pitch Perfect 3, Dirty Dancing, Darkest Hour, Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature, The Post and more, whilst in March you can catch The Shape of Water, Fifty Shades Freed, Father Figures, Molly’s Game, and Black Panther amongst others. Onsite snacks will be available such as popcorn, cheese plates, dessert plates, baguettes, and more. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will also be available. Sunset Cinema offers hireable bean loungers, bean bags, or backrests. North Sydney Oval can be found in the south-western corner of St Leonards Park and provides a perfect location for movies under the stars!

Moonlight Cinema (until 1st of April)
Australia’s largest outdoor cinema in Centennial Park is back with more summer blockbusters and iconic classics to be watched under the stars. Movies being shown this February include Murder on the Orient Express, Pitch Perfect 3, Fifty Shades Freed, Spice World, Coco, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, The Commuter, Dirty Dancing, Darkest Hour, Grease, Wonder and more, with March’s showings set to be released! Moonlight Cinema is dog-friendly and features hireable bean beds, a licensed bar, as well as several food options.
